This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
The images in your gallery appear to be nothing more than cutouts from other pictures that have been pasted together. If so, you have these in the wrong category, as they are not paintbrushed. also, if you used another artist's works, you need to get permission or else you are infringing upon their copyrights and that will get you banned from deviantArt.
Funny how your OWN work seems to be variations on a theme... Did YOU get permission to use the company logos on YOUR work??? Or how about Bryce software for their backgrounds - I think not. Get off your soapbox and enjoy everyone's art for what it is!
Sorry if you felt I was jumping in your stuff, but I do believe the difference is that I created the pieces and did not "borrow" them, as you clearly did. Any items not created by me personally are used with written permission. It is one thing to recreate an image from nothing while it is another story altogether if you cut out copyrighted imagery and use it as your own.
I don't "need" permission from DAZ to use Bryce software; if that is the case, then pretty much everyone here needs to get permission from Adobe to use their products.
Image editing is an artform, but you have to make sure you get permission if you others' works. DA has rules about using other persons' content. I just thought I'd make you aware of it, but if you want to be a snot about it, then fine.
I wasn't the snot - you jumped on my case the moment I began to upload pictures. Next time read the real interpretation of copyright before making judgements, it is there to prevent a person from PROFITING from another's work. What you see in my work has been taken far enough beyond the originals that they're no longer concidered solely that person's work anymore. When pieces are put on the internet andmade available to download - then they're open for everyone to use how they wish - other than for profit. I expect that my own pieces will be used by another who has a picture in their mind - who knows they may improve upon it! If I use my own models for art - who has precedent? I built, posed and painted it - but the company that manufactured it could have copyright too. So who's right? If companies were going to get that fussy about it then no one would buy it - and where's the fun in that? Allow copy artists some free rein and they may become the next Van Gogh, Monet or Picaso...
So, what you are saying is that you did you someone else's work, then modified it so that it may not be recognizable. And no, if I put my work on the internet, I do NOT make it so that others can borrow from and call the derivatives their own.
You might want to re-read deviantArt's copyright rules again. I think you misunderstand copyright rules and laws.Copyright infringement has more to it than just profiting, it is misrepresenting your work and that of which you used without permission. As I previously stated, deviantArt frowns heavily on this. You may want to read this: FAQ #157:Can I use things created by other people in my submissions? It outlines the dA rules regarding use of other persons' works within your own.
Honestly, I think you have some budding talent and you should nurture it, but if you post images here, make sure they are not infringing upon copyrighted works of others.
